About the Author
Dallas DeVere Williams, D.D.S., M.D. grew up on a farm north of Johnstown, Colorado, and on a ranch west of Fort Collins, Colorado. He went to school grades 1-12 at Johnstown. Following this, he attended La Sierra University in California for premed/predental studies. He completed both dental school and medical school at Loma Linda University in southern California receiving both D.D.S., and M.D. degrees (followed by a rotating surgical and medical internship). He spent two years at David-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. as a Captain. Following this, he did a three-year residency in oromaxillofacial surgery along with a year of general surgery at the University of Alabama Medical Center. This was followed by a second year of general surgery residency at Loma Linda University. Once this was completed, he did a two-year full body plastic/cosmetic surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.
He has over a period of 50 years, practiced various aspects of general/family medicine (including OB and minor surgery), emergency medicine, oromaxillofacial surgery and plastic surgery specializing in full body cosmetic surgery.
Presently, he and his wife of some 62 years live and work on the farm where he grew up with their two daughters and one son with their families close by. The author and his wife presently enjoy living in their “barndominium” and have many hobbies including their cattle, travel, old cars, old pickups, old books, writing and various crafts.
He has also authored and published a children’s book, The Legend of Boofus and Goofus, about Santa’s two naughty reindeer.
